Image Library

The Image Library contains photographs and drawings which can illustrate an epoch, a city, a lifestyle or a social affiliation. The motifs of the material include both private and public buildings, industry and retail trade, sport and leisure facilities, the landscape and furniture and furnishings and interior design.

Of the 600 000 photographs and 2 millions of drawings in our collections we have about 8000 digital pictures which you can search for in our new >database. We apply the Swedish Professional Photographer's price-list and the museum's price-list. Before you order any pictures you have to fill in our loan application. The Swedish Museum of Architecture's collections contain mainly material from the 1850's and onwards. The main emphasis is primarily on Swedish 20th century architecture. We have collections on the work of the internationally known Swedish architects Gunnar Asplund, Sigurd Lewerentz and Sven Markelius.

The picture Bank contains the work of Swedens's foremost architectural photographers, including C G Rosenberg, Sune Sundahl, Åke E:son Lindman, Max Plunger, Krister Engström, Rolf Dahlström, Sune Hj Hellström and Sven Westerlund.The picture to the right is photographed by Sune Sundahl.
