Älvmageddon

The Swedish Museum of Architecture presents the architecture office Zork and their exhibition "Älvmageddon". With the city of Gothenburg as a starting point, Zork has developed a couple of projects that are meant to stimulate the discussion about the future city.

New architecture

By lifting the city on legs or burying it under ground, Zork shows that traditional principles to city planning need to be reevaluated and updated.

Zork thinks that architects and urban planners need to take a new reality of extreme climates into consideration. This demands a new way of thinking and new architecture.

Lecture

The exhibition Älvmageddon is an extension of a lecture with the same name that the office developed as a protest to the planning process of Gothenburg's South shore.

Zork

Zork was co-founded in 2004 by the architects Anders Holmer and Kristina Dalberg with a mission to encourage visionary architecture. The office works interdisciplinary within the fields of art, architecture and social debate.
