The Collections at the Swedish Museum of Architecture

The Swedish Museum of Architecture collects drawings, sketches and items associated to the history of Swedish building, Swedish archictects, and foreign architects working in Sweden.

Numbering some 2 million drawings and sketches, 600.000 photographs and more than 2000 models and other items are a vast source for anyone interested in the history of Swedish architecture. Great Swedish architects, for example Gunnar Asplund, Sigurd Lewerentz, Sven Markelius and Ralph Erskine are represented in the archive to name a few. The majority of the items are from the 20th century.

As a personal user you are welcome to visit the Archives. We provide a database, Arkdok, where you can search the collection and order items to research.

Online catalogues

The photo collection is partly avaliable in a online catalogue in the Picture bank. We also provide the Library's catalogue online. The Archives catalogue Arkdok is not avaliable online yet.
