Arkitekturmuseet

Admission

As of January 1, 2007, the museum will charge a regular admission fee

According to a government announcement earlier, and as stated in the financial bill, Arkitekturmuseet’s funding will be reduced to a level that precludes free admission.

As of Janyuary 1 January, 2007, Arkitekturmuseet will charge a regular admission fee of SEK 50. This fee will cover entrance to all exhibitions currently on at the museum, including the permanent collection. Admission free for those under the age of 19.

A combined ticket for Arkitekturmuseet and Moderna Museet will be SEK 110. Admission has been free since 2001, when the regular admission fee was SEK 60/45. Free admission was introduced on 14 February, 2004, when the museum reopened after two years of extensive renovating and refurbishment.

The revenue from admission will compensate for the cuts in previous funding levels, covering operating costs for exhibition production, events and the expected decline in income from the museum shop.

Opening hours as from 1 January: Tuesday 10 am – 8 pm, Wednesday-Sunday 10 am – 6 pm. As of 1 January the museum will not be open late on Wednesdays.
